Bishop William Fleming Todd, Sr. is the Founder and beloved late Pastor of the Christ Haven Pentecostal Church. He was born on September 20 in Washington, D.C. and surrendered his life to Christ in May of 1961 after a classmate witnessed to him by way of a Bible tract on a school playground. The Lord used this to open his eyes and understanding to the truth of God’s plan of salvation. Bishop Todd was baptized in Jesus name at the Bibleway Worldwide Church in Washington, D.C. and received the baptism of the Holy Ghost through the laying on of hands on August 1, 1961. Desiring to do more for the Lord, he fervently witnessed to many individuals including his family. He passed out Bible tracts letting others know that Jesus saves. Then, in 1962, during an evening Evangelical Street Service where he was passing out Bible tracts, the Lord anointed Bishop Todd to preach the gospel. People came from all over and responded to the word of God. It was during this time that it became evident; God would use him mightily to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

In 1964 Bishop Todd moved to Philadelphia. The next year, he met the lovely and beautiful Sister Thomasina Singleton at the Gates of Heaven Church. They were married on December 11, 1966. Together, they shared 48 years of marital bliss and were blessed with six wonderful children.

After serving twelve faithful years at the Zion Apostolic Temple Church in Philadelphia, Bishop Todd was called to the Pastorate. In 1983 the ministry of Christ Haven Pentecostal Church began in Ardmore, Pennsylvania. In January 1990, the Lord moved the Christ Haven ministry to 206 S. 5th Street in Darby, Pennsylvania and in 2010 to its current home at 6800 Lindbergh Boulevard. In 1998 the Lord led Pastor Todd to join World Assemblies of Restoration (WAR) under then founder and presiding prelate, Bishop James D. Nelson. He was soon appointed District Elder, then Overseer, and shortly after was elevated to the Bishopric. In 2014, he was elevated again to 2nd Assistant Presiding Bishop.

On, August 26, 2015, Bishop William Fleming Todd, Sr. transitioned from labor to reward. His legacy and foundation remains and stands sure.
